Access to Materials
All course materials including streaming lecture video and scanned under-the-camera notes will be posted on a daily basis. Students will be asked to provide an Eos ID and password to access the secured materials.

If you have a Broadband connection to the Internet and are still having problems streaming video lectures, click here to check your bandwidth. You may be experiencing low bandwidth problems on your Broadband connection. If so, you may need to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Online Course Materials

NC State uses the WolfWare course management system for access to course materials. The WolfWare system will serve as the central location for you to access course materials including the course lectures and course notes. To find your class materials, go to the Engineering Online Course Homepages section and click on the course number for your class. This link will go to your course’s home page. From this page you will be able to access the course materials using your EOS ID.

To view the video lectures, you will need RealOne media player installed on your computer. Many of the latest computers may already have this program on the system. From the course web site, choose the lecture you wish to view and double click. Once the media player opens, you need to adjust the volume on your speakers and the size of the image area. Smaller image areas will appear much clearer than larger images. To resize the lecture, position your cursor over the video image and right-click. Scroll down to “Zoom” and a second box will open with the following options: Original Size, Double Size, and Full Screen. You may now select whatever setting you prefer. To change the “full screen” setting, right click on the image again and resize.

The course lectures can also be downloaded via the Internet for individuals who want to view the materials directly from their desktop. Depending on your Internet connection, the download time may vary. This option will be available to you on the course lecture page located within the WolfWare system.

If you have any problems viewing the lectures, please contact Martin Dulberg at marty_dulberg@ncsu.edu (919) 513-4836 or Susan Withington at sdwithin@ncsu.edu (919) 513-0535, or by using the toll-free number (877) 254-0058.

Course notes will also be placed within the WolfWare system. Students are encouraged to print the notes out daily so that they can follow along with the instructor. Some notes will be in PowerPoint and others may be scanned into PDF format from the lectures hand-written pages. If you do not have the latest version of PowerPoint for viewing PowerPoint notes or Adobe Acrobat for viewing PDF files on your computer, you can still access the course notes using the PowerPoint Viewer or Acrobat Reader (both available free).

If you have any problems accessing the notes or reading the materials, please contact Martin Dulberg at marty_dulberg@ncsu.edu (919) 513-4836 or Susan Withington at sdwithin@ncsu.edu (919) 513-0535, or by using the toll-free number (877) 254-0058.
