FOR Fall/Summer 2009 Transfer

·       If you are planning on transferring to NC State in the Summer or Fall, you must E-Mail Susan Price right away and let her know (sprice@lenoircc.edu).

·       If you are planning on transferring to NC State in the fall/summer, you need to get your on-line application done ASAP (Admissions :: How do I Apply? ).

o      The sooner your get your application in the sooner a decision can be made on you.

o      Do not wait until the April 1 deadline!

o      Check the transfer requirements above.

§       If you do not meet all of these, there is no need to apply. The only exception is GPA. If your GPA is lower than 3.0, you may be considered, but there is no guarantee.

§       Remember, your transfer GPA is all college transfer courses you have ever taken (even from NC State).

§       All requirements must be met by the end of first term summer.

o      Remember, you will need official transcripts from your high school and all other colleges you have attended, so start collecting them.

o      Once you apply, keep checking your status on-line.

o      A Few Notes For Your Application

§       If you took the DE classes, make sure you list NC State as another college you attended – you do not need to request transcripts from NC State.

§       If you check yes to any of the background questions, make sure you supply a very complete explanation. Also, count on your application being delayed. If in doubt, mark yes. You do not want to have something show up on a background check that you do not mark here.

§       Make sure you note the courses you are taking this semester. If you are planning on taking first term summer classes, note this.

·       International Transfer Students

o      Please check out the information here  (Admissions :: How do I Apply?) to make sure you follow all special transfer requirements.
