During the fall break we did an upgrade of the system that serves out your lectures. As a by-product of the upgrade, the previous base URL of http://online.ncsu.edu/mediasite/ changed to http://mediasite.online.ncsu.edu/. You might notice that the URL's for some of your course content has changed. Please be aware we have redirects if you are using bookmarks or have these urls within a course management system. However, this upgrade is causing certificate warnings in most web browsers because the certificate that was purchased for the service was for http://online.ncsu.edu/ only. Certificate validation checks would return that online.ncsu.edu and mediasite.online.ncsu.edu are *technically* two different sites, hence the error. However, these are the same servers, and the same certificates that you were using without error last week. Nothing has changed with respect to the security of the system. Your passwords and course content are still protected as they were last week. The college is in the process of purchasing new certificates to remedy this situation. -- Dr. Krute
